Upon completion of your report, the staff will provide you with a Property Irregularity Report or PIR, along with a unique reference number for tracking your lost baggage. Keep this document safe.
In most instances, lost baggage is found within the first 24 hours. Once your bag has been located, the airline will reach out to schedule a suitable delivery time.

TAROM has 21 days to track down and return your baggage.
If your delayed baggage hasn’t been located within 21 days, it’s deemed officially lost. At this point, you can file a claim for compensation with the airline.

Please be aware that it’s not recommended to transport electronics, art, jewellery, etc., in checked baggage, as TAROM (or any airline) won’t be responsible for covering the total worth of such items, only up to the limit set by the Montreal Convention and their Conditions of Carriage.
